Lumey is a reading companion application designed to help users track books, manage reading goals, organize personal libraries, monitor reading progress, and build a more enjoyable reading experience.
This Privacy Policy explains what information Lumey stores, how it is used, and how you remain in control of your information.
Information created within Lumey may include books, authors, reading progress, ratings, reviews, notes, reading goals, reading sessions, reading history, tags, collections, achievements, points, and user preferences.
This information is stored locally on your device and may synchronize through your personal iCloud account if CloudKit synchronization is enabled.
Lumey may use Apple's CloudKit framework to synchronize information between your Apple devices through your personal iCloud account.
The developer of Lumey does not have access to your private CloudKit database.
Apple's handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
Lumey may store information related to books in your personal library, including titles, authors, reading status, formats, page counts, genres, ratings, and other information you choose to record.
This information is used solely to provide library organization and reading management features.
Lumey may store reading progress, pages completed, reading sessions, completion dates, reading history, and related statistics.
This information is used exclusively to provide reading progress tracking, statistics, goals, and insights within the app.
Lumey may allow users to create reading goals related to books, pages, minutes, authors, genres, series, or other reading objectives.
Goal information is stored solely to provide goal tracking and progress reporting features.
Lumey may store ratings, reviews, reading notes, reflections, quotes, and other information entered by the user.
This information remains private unless explicitly shared by the user.
Lumey may generate reading statistics, reading streaks, completion reports, reading trends, progress charts, and other insights based on information you choose to record.
These calculations exist solely to provide personal reading insights and motivation.
Lumey may allow users to manually enter book information or retrieve publicly available book metadata from approved third-party sources.
Retrieved information may include book titles, authors, descriptions, publication information, genres, cover images, and ISBN data.
Lumey may include optional points, achievements, streaks, milestones, and reward systems designed to encourage reading consistency and engagement.
This information remains private to your account and is not used for advertising, profiling, or marketing purposes.
Lumey may use local notifications to provide reminders related to reading goals, reading sessions, streaks, challenges, and other reading activities.
Notification scheduling occurs directly on your device.
Lumey may provide Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets displaying reading progress, books currently being read, reading goals, streaks, achievements, and reading statistics.
Widget information is shared locally between the app and widget extensions using Apple's App Group system.
Lumey does not sell personal information and does not use third-party advertising networks or behavioral advertising systems.
Reading history, ratings, notes, and reading activity information are not shared with advertisers.
Lumey may offer optional premium features or subscriptions through Apple's StoreKit framework.
Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. Lumey does not collect, store, or have access to payment information, billing information, or credit card numbers.
Lumey is not directed toward children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
You maintain control over your information at all times. Books, reading history, goals, ratings, reviews, notes, statistics, and other content may be deleted directly within the app.
Deleting the app removes locally stored data from your device. If CloudKit synchronization is enabled, synced information may also be managed through your Apple ID and iCloud settings.
This privacy policy may occasionally be updated to reflect new features, legal requirements, platform changes, or improvements to the app. Updated versions will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
